Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of a tree. It is ground to make a powder that is highly aromatic, used in flavouring curries, savoury dishes and desserts. Use cinnamon powder with mashed banana to bake a cake and get a lovely banana cinnamon tea cake. Store in a cool dry place.
