Fennel seeds are popularly known as Saunf in Hindi, a flowering plant belonging to Foeniculum Vulgare family. It has a mild, licorice-like flavour, sweet and woody taste, the distinct flavour is due to the goodness of potent essential oils. Add it to your soups, stews and salads and especially dishes like risotto. Store it in an airtight container in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
