Gongura is a green leafy plant, grown for its edible leaves in India and it belongs to the hibiscus family. Known for its sour and piquant taste, they are mainly used in pickle recipes. Not all rare ingredients come tangy and spicy as Gongura. It is specially prepared to serve Goddess Mahalakshmi/Gauri during the Gauri-Ganpati Festival in Maharashtra.Refrigerate until use - store in GG packaging as received, or transfer into a dry box lined with cloth or tissue.
