Knol Khol is a medium to large round bulbous stem with long leafy greens growing directly from the stem. The swollen stems skin is pale green and smooth. The flesh is bright white aqueous, dense and crisp with a cabbage like scent. It is juicy & crunch with a mild peppery and sweet flavour, similar to that of broccoli, cabbage and cucumber. Slice the stem into chunks and use in soups, stews, roasts and stir fries and the leafy greens are good to use in salads and sandwiches. Store loosely in refrigerator.
