The papaya is an exotic orange coloured fruit grown in tropical climates. The sweet floral fragrance and flavour and vibrant colour make the papaya a popular fruit. Eat raw or grate and make a Thai raw papaya salad with a dash of lime juice and vinegar. Store in refrigerator.

The pomegranate is a medium sized red fruit with a hard leathery peel, enclosing many tiny bursts of red juice. It is termed a superfood due to its massive health benefits. These rubies are bursts of luscious juice and can be eaten as is, pressed into a juice and used in salads and desserts. Cut half an inch of the top of the fruit off, then make shallow vertical cuts with the knife. Then use your finger to pull out the edible fruit. Store the uncut fruit in a cool dry place.

Nagpur Orange is a variety of mandarin orange that is harvested in the winter. Popularly produced in Nagpur, the orange has a shiny leathery orange peel with a lovely tangy aroma. The oranges contain a juicy, citrusy flesh that has to be scooped out. Consume in juice form or use to make marmalades, salads, desserts and sauces. Store at room temperature.
